You ever pour some cranberry juice and then mix it with sprite? I used to do this all the time- it was my “cranberry mocktail”. So you can imagine how thrilled I was when I saw this new product in Walmart.
Sierra Mist Cranberry Splash
I popped the top on this expecting the same concoction I had always had- was I in for a surprise! It had a strong sierra mist flavor with a *splash* of cranberry as an end note. I was kind of disappointed because I wanted a little more cranberry flavor and less sierra mist. Having said that though, it was still good. There is a red flavor to the soda as well that will make you think the cranberry will be more present. Don’t get me wrong the cranberry flavor is there- it just isn’t the same as mixing the two yourself. The convenience factor for this little mix is off the charts though.
Bottom Line: Will I ever buy this again? Probably not- out of 3 people in the family I am the only one drinking these- everyone else reaches for normal pepsi or coke first. I would recommend this for that long plane ride however.
My husband and I usually rent movies out of RedBox at least once a week. For some reason I would always skim over this movie and pick something different. Finally, due to RedBox being super limited on choices I was forced to pick this one and ride it out. I am so glad I did.
Upon first glimpse you may think, “Great another teen flick” or “Vampires, really?” But I am here to tell you that this is now one of my all time favorite movies (and the book is even better).
The attraction of this movie is not the romance itself or the vampires, but more so the underlying elements. The main message of the book seems to be wanting something and needing something that is just not good for you in any way, shape, or form. I mean afterall how good can it possible be as a human to fall in love with a vampire?
The characters really make this movie and the special effects certainly don’t hurt anything. The love story is superb as well.
Bottom Line: Put this on your movie list for Friday night.
I usually love frozen meals of the healthy sort for lunch so when I see them on sale I just have to grab some. I never tried Kashi meals before so this was a great opportunity. I picked up about five of them and this one landed on my plate yesterday.
I picked this one because it sounded so delicious. Kashi’s website describes it as the following: Grilled chicken with spinach, sweet red peppers, and baby Portobello mushrooms is all served over our Kashi Seven Whole Grains and Sesame® with orzo pilaf. Topped with a garlic white wine sauce and shredded parmesan cheese.
Unfortunately this fell way short. There was really not much flavor to it at all. I ended up topping it with barbecue sauce so that I could eat it. I did feel as though I was eating healthy at least.
Bottom line: I will not be buying this again.
